I assumed the duties of City Administrator of the City of Arcola on April 15, 2020. As the City Administrator I lead a staff of 17 FTEs and oversee a budget of $2.9M annually.
I bring over 30 years of government experience. Before assuming the duties of City Administrator, I started my government career in 1990 and retired in 2019 as the Vice President of Human Resources for a local government corporation for the City of Houston. I continued as a consultant for another governmental agency until being voted as the City Administrator for the City of Arcola on April 14, 2020.
I am a graduate of the University of St. Thomas with a Master of Business Administration and I enrolled in a Ph.D. program in Leadership Studies from Our Lady of the Lake University. I have completed both oral and written comprehensive exams, and working on the completion of my dissertation. I speak Spanish, dabble in Hebrew, and love to travel.
The role I am most proud of is being a Mother to Joshua and Victoria; and a Grandmother to my beautiful granddaughter, Emma Faith.
It is a pleasure and honor to serve the citizens of Arcola.
